Ny Cirkus-festival indtager København
København får i de kommende uger besøg af en række af Europas bedste artister, jonglører, klovne og akrobater. Mellem den 6. og den 31. august præsenterer Københavns Internationale Teater ni Ny Cirkus-forestillinger. KIT har gennem mange år præsenteret det danske publikum for det bedste Ny Cirkus fra de internationale scener. Som noget nyt kommer en række af forestillingerne i år på turné rundt omkring i landet i sensommeren.
Københavns Internationale Teaters Ny Cirkus Festival byder på en kavalkade af Ny Cirkus – fra crazy komik for hele familien, halsbrækkende stunts og akrobatisk ekvilibrisme til poetiske fortællinger. In 2008, Anne-Mette Rasmussen, then First Lady of Denmark, made a daring decision to compete in the Danish version of Dancing with the Stars. Paired with elite dancer Thomas Evers Poulsen, she surprised everyone and took fourth place in what became one of the most popular seasons of the show on the Danish TV.
Since then, Mrs. Rasmussen and Mr. Poulsen have given shows and dancing lessons in Denmark and all over Europe, including NATO charity balls in Brussels to benefit women in Afghanistan. (Mrs. Rasmussen’s husband, former Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen, currently serves as Secretary General of NATO).
Mrs. Rasmussen and Mr. Poulsen also frequently do presentations and motivational speeches, focusing on the importance of setting goals and taking on new challenges at every stage in life.
The duo is very interested in working with the Danish-American community and is currently planning a series of appearances in the United States. The purpose of this tour is to strengthen the cultural relationship between Denmark and the United States and to give an American audience a flavor of modern day life and trends in Denmark.
Elements of the tour include:

· Presentations on the transformative power of dancing at every stage in life
· Presentations on culture and current affairs in Denmark
Mrs. Rasmussen has a strong personal connection to the United States. Her son is married to an American and recently became a U.S. citizen. She has enjoyed her many official and private visits to the United States over the years, and she looks forward to visiting again.

Locating product development and customerisation, incl. productification and pilot production in Hong Kong would be a viable alternative for Danish and Swedish companies in sectors where seed money is readily available but where ramping up to full-scale production requires big investment and market support.
On 24 August, high-level government officials and business leaders from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) will present the unique opportunities available in the region on innovation and high tech sectors
such as:
● Life science & biotechnology
● Renewable energy & environmental services
● Semiconductor development
● Information and communication technologies
● Logistics and suppy chain management enabling technologies, in particular RFID
● Nanotechnology and advanced materials

In addition, case studies on expanding business to China using Hong Kong as a base, from both sides of Øresund will be presented. Background
Carbon footprint labels and border measures are at the centre of current debates cutting across climate change, trade and development policies. This seminar brings together three contributions to this debate that focus on: (1) proposals aiming at taxing carbon emissions at the border with the aim of leveling the playing field between countries with different carbon emission limits; (2) plans to use product carbon footprint (PCF) labels to encourage climate-friendly consumption; (3) emerging carbon footprint standards and their possible trade impacts.
