“DRUMS OF JOY” A MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA
In African tradition, drums are not for entertainment only, but a means of Communication as well.
“Drums of Joy” is a Ugandan Musical group exploring a modern day African society that has been heavily affected by “popular culture globalisation” Drums are sounding to communicate how and where the African society went wrong when embracing popular culture. It demonstrates that now is the time for the African society, Uganda in particular to harmonise both popular culture and traditional values to achieve the so much needed development.
